REFLEX 2K24-PHYSICS ASSOCIATION INAUGURATION

Department of physics, Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies conducted the association inauguration for academic year 2024-25 named REFLEX 2K24 on 15th November 2024. The programme started at 2.00 pm in the seminar hall with a prayer by Mr. Dheeraj P Kumar (II BSc Physics) and the welcome address by Prof. K. P Chandrasekharan (HOD, Dept. of Physics) followed by the report presentation of activities of previous year by Ms. Esmi Davis (Asst. Professor, Dept. of Physics & Dept. Secretary). Presidential address was delivered by Dr. Joy K L (Principal, Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies). Chief Guest of the programme, Dr.Biju C V (Principal, Nirmala College of Engineering, Chalakudy) officially inaugurated the association activities for the academic year 2024-25. Next programme in agenda was the election of office bearers of the association. The names of elected persons are noted below.

Newly elected office bearers of the association took the pledge of their responsibilities. The oath taking ceremony was led by Dr. Karuna K (Vice Principal, Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies.). Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Deepthy Maria Joseph (Asst. Professor, Dept. of
Physics & Programme Director). In connection with the association inauguration function, the Department also conducted a talk by Dr. Biju C V (Principal, Nirmala College of Engineering, Chalakudy) on the topic “Physics of Resonance in 21st century”. The resource person has a Ph.D from IIT, Madras and is an expert in the area of Dynamic analysis of Mechanical structures. Mr. Sidharth K S (III BSc Physics)introduced the resource person and Dr. Biju C V explained the various aspects of the phenomenon resonance emphasizing its
applications in our daily life. The presentation expended about 1 hour followed with an interaction session. Mr. Adith Sanjay (II BSc Physics)
delivered gratitude to the resource person. The programme concluded at 3.45 pm. The entire session was compered by Ms. Arathi K A (III BSc Physics).
