The inauguration of the Science Departments—Physics was held on 20th November 2025 at 1.30 p.m. in the Seminar Hall. The event marked a significant beginning for the academic year, focusing on collaboration, innovation, and academic excellence across the science disciplines. The programme commenced with a formal welcome by Prof. K P Chandrasekharan, Head of the department, Department of Physics. He highlighted the vision of Synergize 2025, emphasizing the need for interdisciplinary connection among science departments and motivating students to engage actively in scientific pursuits. The Presidential Address by Rev. Dr. Devis Chenginiyadan, Executive Director, SCAS followed, wherein he emphasized the importance of scientific literacy, teamwork, research culture, and the responsibility of students in maintaining academic quality. Principal Dr. Joy K. L delivered an inspiring message, motivating students to embrace modern scientific tools, research opportunities, and technology-based learning. A comprehensive Report Presentation was made by Ms. Nimitha P, HOD, Department of Chemistry who summarized the academic achievements, departmental activities of the science departments. Following this, the official inauguration of the Science Departments, Synergize 2025 was conducted by the Chief Guest, Dr. T. V. Vimalkumar, Assistant Professor & Research Guide, Department of Physics, St. Thomas College, Thrissur. Dr. Vimalkumar delivered an enlightening session that greatly benefited the students. He provided detailed insights into internships and entrepreneurship, emphasizing the importance of gaining practical exposure and developing innovative thinking. His talk inspired students to explore opportunities beyond the classroom and cultivate skills relevant to the rapidly evolving scientific landscape. Dr. Sheeba M. B., Dean of Science, SCAS offered felicitations and appreciated the co-ordinated effort of the departments in organizing the event. She encouraged students to make the best use of the guidance and resources presented during the programme. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Adith Sanjay, College Chairman of the Student Council. He expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, faculty members, the Chief Guest, and student volunteers for making the event successful.
