Workshop on Yoga in Observance of International Yoga Day
The PG Department of Psychology, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized a Workshop on Yoga on 19 June 2026 at the Psychology Lab, SCAS Campus, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, in observance of International Yoga Day.
The session was led by Ms. Athira Raju, Consultant Psychologist and former student of SCAS, who provided valuable insights into the significance of yoga in promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being. The workshop included an introduction to various yoga practices and breathing exercises that help in stress management, concentration, and overall psychological wellness.
Students actively participated in the session and gained practical knowledge about incorporating yoga into their daily lives to enhance mental health and achieve holistic well-being.
The programme successfully highlighted the importance of yoga as a means of maintaining a healthy mind and body and reinforced the institution’s commitment to promoting wellness and mental health awareness among students.
