Higher education is not only about gathering higher level information on any topic, but equally important is maintaining a well-kept record and effective sharing of the same. In this scenario typesetting professionally looking documents is an important factor. Higher education in any branches of science or engineering definitely require these expertise. LaTeX has emerged as one of the best candidate for typesetting scientific documents, like lab-records, notes, journal papers etc. Thus mastering Latex is not only a desirable skill, but also a necessary prowess to be gathered for gaining competence in advanced educational levels. Keeping this in mind, Dept of Physics, Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies, organized a LaTeX familiarization workshop and hands-on session, named TEX-nology, for higher secondary students from Christ VidyaNikethan ICSE School, Irinjalakuda. The session was held on 10:00 PM, September 9
th 2023, at Seminar hall, Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies. The resource person was Mr. Vasudevan M V, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Physics, Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies, Kodakara. The session started with an inaugural function held at the seminar hall of the college. Prof. K.P. Chandrasekharan, Head of the Department of Physics, Sahrdaya College delivered the presidential address and Rev. Fr. Anto Vattoly, Financial officer, Sahrdaya College inaugurated the program. Later the resource person for the workshop, Mr. Vasudevan M V introduced the students about LaTeX, various intricacies of the same and assisted them to prepare their own short documents.
