In connection with the National Energy Conservation Day, Department of Physics conducted an energy conservation awareness programme on 5th October 2024. Seven students of II and III BSc Physics, accompanied by one teacher started from the college campus at 9:45 a.m. in our college bus. The students covered about 13 houses in the survey and the survey focused on the awareness about energy conservation in local communities. The energy conservation program aimed to raise awareness about efficient energy use through informational sessions, resulting in a significant increase in public knowledge and intention to adopt energy-saving practices. Data regarding electricity bill and mode of cooking in each houses were collected. The survey successfully promoted sustainable practices and
identified areas for further community engagement and environmental improvement. The students completed the survey at 12.00 pm and returned to college.
