As part of the observance of International Yoga Day, the Postgraduate Department of Psychology, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies (SCAS), conducted a Workshop on Yoga on 20th June 2025. The workshop was facilitated by Ms. Athira Raju, an alumna of the PG Department of Psychology & a passionate practitioner of yoga & wellness. The sessions were specifically organized for 3 groups: 1st year UG students of Arts & Science, 1st year B.Com students, & PG psychology students, & were held at different venues to ensure maximum participation & comfort. The session for 1st year UG Arts & Science students was held at the Decennial Hall at 10:45 AM, the B.Com batch attended the session at the Seminar Hall at 1:30 PM, & the PG Psychology students participated in the session conducted in their own PG classroom. The yoga workshop introduced students to the philosophy & benefits of yoga, including its impact on psychological & physical well-being. Ms. Athira demonstrated practical yoga postures & breathing exercises, fostering active student engagement. The session aimed to provide a foundational understanding of yoga for improved concentration, relaxation, and flexibility.
