The Department of Mathematics conducted a Project Talk on 23rd September 2025, led by Dr. Sheeba M. B., Head of the Department. The session was organized to guide students in the process of selecting and developing effective project topics. The talk served as an informative and interactive session, helping students gain clarity on research areas and methodologies related to mathematics. Dr. Sheeba highlighted the importance of selecting projects that reflect students’ interests and align with current trends in mathematics and its applications. She also shared a wide range of potential project topics covering various branches such as pure mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, and data science, encouraging students to explore interdisciplinary approaches. The Project Talk was highly beneficial and inspiring. It provided valuable insights into the process of project selection and broadened students’ perspectives on the vast scope of mathematical research. The session successfully prepared students to move forward confidently with their project work.
