An expert talk for the FinTech students was organized on 6th December 2025 at Room No. 26 by the Department of Commerce. The session was led by Dr. Sarin C. R, an accomplished professional with expertise in Learning & Development, Data Analytics, and FinTech career mentoring. The topic of the session was “FinTech Careers & Skills for the Next Decade: What Students Need to Succeed.”
The programme began with a silent prayer, followed by a welcome speech delivered by Ms. Sandhya Gopinathan, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce. She highlighted the relevance of FinTech in the modern financial ecosystem and the importance of equipping students with industry-oriented skills.
Dr. Sarin C. R led the session with an insightful and interactive presentation. He discussed emerging trends in FinTech, the essential skill sets required for future careers, the growing demand for data-driven decision-making, and the importance of adaptability in a technologically evolving financial world. He also emphasized career pathways in data
analytics, blockchain, digital payments, cybersecurity, and AI-driven financial services. Students actively engaged with the resource person, seeking guidance on career choices, certifications, and practical learning strategies.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Adith, expressing gratitude to the resource person and the department for arranging such a valuable session. A memento was presented to the resource person by Ms. Sandhya Gopinathan as a token of appreciation.
