The PG Department of Commerce, Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies (Autonomous), Kodakara, organized a Talk Series by Expert for CWM and CFP students on 6th December 2025 at Room No. 325. The session was conducted as part of the department’s continuous effort to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practice.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Ms. Neethu Nazar, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Commerce, who warmly welcomed the resource person and participants. In her address, she highlighted the importance of professional exposure for commerce students and emphasized the growing relevance of financial planning and wealth management as a career choice.
The expert session was handled by Ms. Stephy, Financial Planner, Investment Advisory Division, Geojit Financial Services Ltd., Thrissur, on the topic “From Student to Financial Advisor: Essential Skills for a Successful Wealth Management Career.” The speaker shared valuable insights into career pathways in financial advisory services, essential skills required in the industry, certification importance, and practical experiences from her professional
journey. The session was highly informative and interactive, motivating students to pursue careers in wealth management with clarity and confidence.
