The Ignit-ed Program 2025 on AI-Integrated Teaching & Learning for Higher Secondary Teachers was conducted on 15 November 2025 at the AV Room with the objective of equipping educators with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to integrate Artificial Intelligence into modern teaching practices. The programme brought together distinguished resource persons and enthusiastic participants for a day of meaningful academic enrichment. The event commenced with a silent prayer, followed by the Welcome Address delivered by Dr. Karuna K., Vice Principal of Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies, who emphasized the growing relevance of AI-enabled pedagogy in today’s educational landscape. The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. Joy K. L., Principal of SCAS, who highlighted the institution’s continued commitment to innovation and the necessity for teachers to adapt to evolving digital learning environments.

The first technical session was led by Carolin Antony, Associate Head of the Department of Human Excellence, who introduced participants to practical methods of integrating AI tools into classroom teaching. Her session covered AI-assisted lesson planning, assessment strategies, and innovative approaches to enhance learner engagement responsibly and effectively. This was followed by an insightful session by Prof. V. J. Thomas, Dean of International Affairs, who discussed global trends and international best practices in AI-driven education, offering participants a broader academic perspective.

After the lunch break, the afternoon session was handled by Rev. Dr. Devis Chenginiyadan, Executive Director of SCAS, whose presentation focused on the ethical, educational, and institutional implications of adopting AI in teaching. His thought-provoking session encouraged teachers to approach technological integration with clarity, purpose, and responsibility. The programme concluded with a memento presentation and certificate distribution, marking the successful completion of an enriching and impactful learning experience for all participating teachers.
