The Department of Geology observed the Internal Day for Disaster Risk Reduction in connection with the global awareness campaign on disaster preparedness and resilience. As part of the observance, an interactive session titled “AMBER – Alumni Talk II” was organized on 15th October 2025 through Google Meet platform (Link: https://meet.google.com/byi- bbmd-unq) at 6.30 pm. The invited alumnus Ms. Sreekavya T A (B.Sc Geology 2017 – 2020), who is currently working as GIS Technician, Kerala State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA) shared valuable insights about career opportunities, and the relevance of geological knowledge in real-world applications, especially in areas related to environmental management and hazard assessment. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Pavan P. V., Department of Geology.
