The Department of Geology, in collaboration with the IQAC of Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies (SCAS), Kodakara, organized a Career Guidance Session for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd – year Geology students on February 18, 2025, at Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies, Kodakara (SCAS). Two of our distinguished alumni, Mr. Samson A. J. (Batch 2016-2019), currently working as a Geologist at BMRC International Geological LLC, and Mr. Vaishnav (Batch 2019-2022), employed as a GIS Analyst at SysGlob Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Ernakulam, shared their experiences and insights to our current geology students. Mr. Samson A. J., one of our distinguished alumni, conducted a career session on the diverse opportunities available in the field of geology. He provided valuable insights into various sectors, including geotechnical engineering, remote sensing & GIS, mining & exploration, oil & gas, and research & technology. Mr. Vaishnav, another esteemed alumnus, conducted a career session focused on opportunities in Remote Sensing and GIS for geology students. The session concluded with a feedback and vote of thanks by Ms. Gayathri K Pradeep (3rd B.Sc Geology).
