PRACTICAL EXPOSURE – MINERALOGY & PETROLOGY

The Department of Geology, in collaboration with the IQAC of Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies (SCAS), Kodakara, organized an Practical Exposure for 2^nd year Civil Engineering Students of Sahrdaya college of Engineering and Technology (Autonomous) on February 14, 2025, at Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies, Kodakara (SCAS). Dr. Kuleen Elizabeth Casey, Head of the Geology Department, warmly welcomed the entire team to SCAS and the Geology Department. Following this, Mr. Rishikesh Menon, a final-year B.Sc. Geology student, conducted an introductory session on rocks, minerals, and optical petrology. The practical session was organized into three main categories: minerals, rocks, and optical microscopy. The session concluded with a feedback session led by Mrs. Mini, a faculty member from Sahrdaya College of Engineering and Technology (Autonomous), along with a second-year Civil Engineering student.
